Hellbound's Spotify Playlist

It was the perfect storm when I first listened to the album, Everybody Scream by Florence + The Machine.

I had just finished draft 4 of Hellbound and had sent it to my developmental editor. The album was recommended to me by a good friend of mine and fellow creator (he makes his own manga called Apeiros World if you’re interested!), and it set me on fire.

And when I listened to this album—wow—I proceeded to completely rewrite my story (as I prefer to do, in each draft) like it was a fever dream, with my female main character embodying the anguish and raw emotion that reverberates through Florence’s album.

This was clearly a woman who had been through hell and back, and I listened to her album on repeat for days.

Florence’s voice is haunting, beautiful, and her prose stuns me. Full stop. I found myself reaching for her music over and over again, and that’s what you’ll find in Hellbound’s playlist.
